Walk through the old villages on the old mill road, a 35km route between the valleys of the Seulles, the Mue and the Thue. These three rivers once fed numerous mills. This route runs through the green countryside of the Bessin, close to the landing beaches and the Côte de Nacre.
All along this route, you will discover farms, manor houses, beautiful typical stone houses from Caen or Creully, magnificent churches or abbeys, castles, a real architectural wealth.
From our guest house, you will take the direction of Reviers. You will enjoy beautiful views between land and sea. In Reviers, you will be able to visit the church of St Vigor (XIII - XIV è.s), its wash-house and its old houses.




Then take the road to Amblie, an authentic and picturesque village. Take the time to stop and take a stroll, you will discover the traces of the past between mills and lace-makers, its castle, a sumptuous 18th century building, and its large houses with stone walls that rival the charms of the narrow streets.


Continue to follow the signs "route des moulins", you can take a long break in Creully, and visit the feudal castle. You can go for a walk. The place is very pleasant. Regularly, artists exhibit their works there. Also, it is here that in June 1944, the BBC set up in the courtyard to broadcast information about the landing. And from the top of it, you can see an old mill with its wheel.

Before returning to our guest house, you can stop at the Château de Fontaine Henry, famous for its very sloping roofs, the highest in France, or at another place where you can stroll around the priory of Saint Gabriel. If you are curious, visit the Romanesque churches of Thaon and Rucqueville.
From valleys to plateaus and from mills to bell towers, discover this country by car but also by footpaths, by bicycle or on foot and on horseback.
