Asnelles, a small village in Calvados, shortbread was created in 1904 by Charles BANSARD. Over the years, the recipe has remained authentic with quality and regional products (eggs from the laying hens of Castillon and butter from Isigny), the shortbread still as good and very popular ...
You will be able to discover the shortbread made with salted butter with the protected designation of origin of Isigny, the famous Saléfins or the Asnelles shortbread with cocoa, the famous Chocofins in different sizes of pretty boxes, but also giant cookies, financiers, raspberry tarts...
In the summer season, many customers flock to the small shop.
Since mid 2017, Mr. OTTER and his team have taken over the biscuit factory and will be delighted to welcome you for a visit of the traditional and artisanal production of salted meats and a tasting session. It is best to book in July and August.
After discovering the biscuit factory, on your return to Le Mas Normand, you can take a walk in the Meuvaines - Ver sur mer marshes, a beautiful stroll between the sea and the pastures. A stroll that will have whetted your appetite to taste this little 18-tooth delicacy, freshly made, in our rooms or in the garden accompanied by a glass of cider!
